Dear Out of Towners,
We are so happy to have you here! Thank you for making the trip to Chicago. We hope you have a great weekend, in and around wedding festivities. Here is some information on the schedule, where to stay, and what to do around Hyde Park.
Chicago is a "City of Neighborhoods" so if you've never visited before, we hope you can get out of Hyde Park and see other great spots. However, Hyde Park is objectively Chicago's best neighborhood, so you won't regret staying near by for the weekend either. (Lilly says bring your swim suit if you want to cold plunge in the lake with her.)
A note on kids: your kids are welcome to attend any/all of the wedding events. We have arranged for child care on Saturday evening during the ceremony and reception in the Quad Club. Please get in touch with questions.

Smaller museums: SMART Museum (art), Oriental Institute (archaeology), DuSable Museum (African American history), Renaissance Society (art)
Our favorite bookstores: Seminary Co-op, 57th Street Books, Powell's. At the Sem you can get a coffee at Plein Air.

There's a whole city out there! Here are two neighborhoods on the South Side to get you started.
Pilsen: a historic neighborhood of Mexican immigrants known for restaurants, art and music. Walk down 18th Street for myriad bakeries, lunch spots, record stores, and the best vintage shopping in the city. Check out the National Museum of Mexican Art (admission is free).
Chinatown: Chicago's century old Chinatown rocks, and is an energetic hub of life. 15m drive from Hyde Park.
